About a week later, I'm cruising along on my new Kawasaki Vulcan Mean Streak 1500. And a week after that we're on our way to Myrtle Beach
Spring Rally 2005, except on a bike this time. Unforunately I don't have any pictures of the event since this was our first true and genuine
bike rally attendance and we neglected to bring a camera. But, the four days we spent there were amazing. 400,000 people attended '05's Spring
Rally. Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing were crammed full of vendors and the parking lots were full to overflowing with nothing
but bikes. King's Highway and 17 were wall-to-wall bikes, and Ocean Blvd. was an amazing scene to behold as people lined both sides of the
road to drink, party, and watch the bikes cruise by. And, of course, the nightlife was impeccable as always.
Even though I didn't get pictures to post up in the bike diary, I did come away with what I hope to be the very first event patch in a long
and distinquished collection over the future years.
